My
Story
I'm excited to be a part of this dynamic team of providers committed to offering quality psychotherapy backed by years of experience.
My education started at Viterbo University and then Winona State University where I received my Master's Degree. I've been working in the counseling and therapy field since 1996 when I became a crisis counselor at what used to be First Call For Help.
What a great opportunity that was to prepare me for social work and eventually psychotherapy. I have specialty training in women's mental health and perinatal mental health. The latter allows me to work with women who are pregnant and postpartum and have adjustment or mental
health concerns. I'm also an AASECT (American Association of Sex Educators, Counselors, And Therapists) certified sex therapist. This training allows me to work with individuals and couples who have a variety of relational and sexual concerns.
I have additional training in trauma informed care including TI-CPP (trauma informed child-parent psychotherapy), which is psychotherapy for small children with trauma histories. It has also been my privilege over the years to provide therapy to grieving and bereaved people, including parents of children who have died. I see men, women, couples, children, adolescents, and adults.
If it is therapy you are looking for, we at The Therapy Place of LaCrosse can guarantee expertise,
confidentiality, professionalism, and compassion. I would be happy to see you for general or specialty psychotherapy.
